Clearly Christmas

Most of your know I love using transparency for my cardbase - to make a truly clean card. Hope you enjoy this one.
Directions

Transparance or clear Vinyl Cover (both can be found at Office supply store)

Ink: Palette hybrid Inkpad “New Canvas”, India Ink, Palette Hybrid Inkpad “Toile Pink”, Palette Stamp & Stick GluePad (all by Stewart Superior)

Foil: Red Variegated Leaf by Stewart Superior

Cardstock: White glossy, light purple, silver

Circle Punch – large – I used on from EK Success

Stamp: Lace Border, Christmas saying, both by Stampostique and “Windy Tree” by Hero Arts

Paint Brush

Embossing Gun

Small square punch

Wire

Adhesive

Trimmer and score blade or bone folder

Make up sponge

Directions:

1) Cut Transparence sheet to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and score at 4 ¼”. This is your card base. You will get two cards from on sheet of transparence. Stamp “Windy Tree” using Palette “New Canvas” onto the front of your card – set aside to dry

2) Stamp Lace Stamp on White Glossy cardstock using Stamp & Stick Glue Pad. Heat with heat gun (embossing gun) until ink becomes sticky. Place Red Variegated Leaf over stamp image and lately brush off extra. (you can save the extra in a Tupperware bowl and use later). Using your Circle Punch upside down so you can see your stamped image, punch out circle shape – I got three circles out of each stamp.

3) Ink up a make up sponge using Palette “Toile Pink” and color in the white area of the circle you just punched out.

4) Punch Small Square out of silver cardstock. Adhere to top of circle to get the look of an ornament, add a small piece of wire.

5) Adhere Ornament to front of card – hanging from the tree

6) Stamp “Christmas Saying” to bottom of Purple cardstock and adhere purple cardstock to inside of card base. Your saying should show through to front of card.

Veteran's Day Card

Supplies:
White, Red, Blue Cardstock
Stamps: "Bob's in Time out" and "Flag" both from Stampotique
India Ink: from Stewart Superior - will not run with water
Colored Pencils
Star Brads: Silver
Ahersive

Direction:
1) Stamp "Bob's in Time Out" using India Ink onto white cardstock, Stamp "Flag" so it looks like he is holding the flag in him hand.
2) Color in Bob and flag with color Pencils - I used Blue and red - Cut out "Bob and flag" image.
3) Cut and fold Red cardstock to make cardbase. I like to use a 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock and cut in half (leaving me with two cardbases - measuring 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card - score at 4 1/4") This way I get two cards from one piece of cardstock.
4) Rip three strips of white cardstock for your strips. Rip blue cardstock into square shape for the flag. Add three silver star brad to blue cardstock. Adhere strips and blue base to card to make a flag.
5) Adhere "Bob" to botton. Stamp "thank you" inside of card and you are done.

Bleach Paper Technique

This is my Christmas Card this year.
Supplies:

Bleach (household bleach)

Paint brush

Water

Twinkling H20’s: Fuzzy Peach, Bashful Blue, Key Lime, Egyptian Gold, Cranberry, Icy Iris, and Golden Opal

Black embossing Powder: Fine black by Stewart Superior

Embossing Ink: The Embosser by Stewart Superior

MasquePen

Stamps: Candles by Stampotique

Embossing Gun (heat Gun)

Directions:

HINT: Test your black cardstock with the bleach. All cardstock bleach out just a little differently. Some turn a brown color some will bleach out almost white… I like the white look the best for the project.

1) Stamp “Candles” using embossing ink and black embossing powder onto Black cardstock and heat emboss.

2) If any of your images you want to remain black – add MasquePen to these parts of your image. I masked the dots on one of the candles and the diamond on another. Make sure you allow your MasquePen to dry (it turns clear)

3) Using a Paint brush and your bleach – bleach all of image you want to paint in later. Bleach will take a few minute to dry before doing the next step. If cardstock is not bleach out as much as you need try adding a second coat of bleach

4) Now the fun part. Color in your image using Twinkling H20’s. To use Twinkling H20’s just add water to your brush or paint jar and start color in the lines. The embossing ink help keep your color in the lines…

5) After you have colored in your image. Remove MasquePen to revile the black cardstock again. Matt onto Gold cardstock and add to card base. This technique works great on a scrapbook page too.

6) If you can find a mini image of the same stamp you used on your card. Stamp smaller image onto your envelop and color with Twinkling H20’s to complete your card.
