Arty Girl Video

Sometimes you just need a little metallic in your life - so I have been playing with my Memories Mists Classic Metallic Sprays. I sprayed the Memories Mists color directly onto a Teflon sheet and used the color like a watercolor. I have filmed and placed a video onto Youtube. Here is a list of the supplies I used:
Stamp: Stampotique "Arty"
Ink: Stewart Superiors: Memories Mists Classic Metallic in "Orange", "Teal", "Purple"
Punch: Fishars: Heritage corner punch
Purple eyelets, Adhesive, Teal Cardstock

More Information on Metal Leaf

I had post on this project asking me some questions. I am sorry I did not do go directions on this project. So let try this again.
Directions
1) Stamp Damask three time onto glossy cardstock (white) using Paletter "stamp and stick Gluepad" by Stewart Superior. As direction for this product will tell you. You will need to heat the three stamp image with your embossing gun or blow dryer. By heating the Stamp and Stick you make this product sticky. While it stick you can add your Metal Leaf. Metal leaf comes in many different color - I used the Green Leaf for this product.
2) Did the same technique as step on for the "thanks" stamp
3) Add some pattern paper and you have another great card. Think about this techquine for a Christmas Card. I know I am.........

Sneak Peak "Thanks"

Here is another project for the newsletter.
"Thanks"
On Glossy Cardstock I stamp three "Damask" from Stampotique. Each was stamped using Palette Stamp and Stick GluePad in Black then I added Stewart Superiors "Green Leaf". I stamped "thanks" from EK Success using the same ink and Green leaf. Cut out and matted onto blue cardstock.
Did my card base in cardstock from EK Success "Letter Press". super simple and great looking.

Sneak Peak "Artsty Fartsy"

I am starting to work on the Summer Newsletter Issue for Stewart Superior and here is a sneak peak of one of the project I will be placing in the Newsletter. The Summer issue will feature Metallic.

"Artsty Fartsy"

I am trying to show that you can use Metallic and still get a Distressed look.
First I cut a tag and ink (using the direct to paper technique) three edges using "Palette" Stamp and Stick GluePad in Black and add "Palette" Accent Powder in "Carbon black" add more Stamp and Stick glue to tag and added "Palette" Accent Powder "Antique Copper"

Stamped Stampotique "the crafter" using Memories "Metallic Gold Ink" - also using a stamp from Stampotique "Artsy Fartsy" in Memories Metallic Black Ink. Add some fiber and she is done.

Shoot for the Moon

This is my newest submission to Stampotique. Hope Carol love it. She is the best. Make sure you purchase these stamps and many more from her site.

Supplies
All Stamps from Stampotique
"Merry Fairy", "Shoot for the Moon", "Hand", and "Hold onto your dreams"
List of Inks from Stewart Superior
The Embosser, Palette "Noir Black", "Violet Varnish,
Filigree Embossing Powder in both "Burnished Rose" and "White"
Palette Stamp and Stick Glue Refill "White"
Silk "Fuchsia"
Memories Mists Classic Metallic "Teal"
Memories Mists "Mango"
Ranger's Alcohol Ink: Stream, Wild Plum, Meadow and inking tools (see video on my site)
Metal Foil from the hardware store - located in the roofing section - called "flashing"
Dry embossing tool
scissor, adhesive, pop-dot, card stock, tranparence,

Direction:
1) Stamp "Hold on to your dreams" on back side (sticker side) of Metal foil using "Noir Black" ink - trace hand and moon only with embossing tool (see video - Metal embossing). Apply Alcohol Ink to foil side (see video - Alcohol Ink). Cut hand out - set aside

2) Stamp Merry Fairy onto cream card stock using "the Embosser" and Filigree "White" embossing powder. Stamp Merry Fairy again onto transparency using Palette "noir black" ink - remember to heat set - use low setting on your embossing gun. On back of transparence stamped image color wings only using Silk "Fuchsia" - then place a small amount of Silk "fuchsia on to your teflon sheet and add a small amount of water to lighten the color. Color the skirt of "Merry Fairy". cut out wings and shirt. Adhere onto Full Merry Fairy. What a great idea with the Silk ink - add water and get the shade you want. More for your money!

3) Using Memories Mists - "Teal" and "Mango" watercolor techinique (see video - Memories Mist Watercolor) and color her hair and socks.
4) Stamp "Shoot for the Moon" onto cream cardstock and emboss using Filigree "Burnished rose" cut out into a square. Ink all edges using Palette "Violet varnish"
5) I had a Chip board Heart to use - but you could just punch or die cut out a heart from Chip board for youself. I used naked chip board, I applied Palette "stamp and stick glue refill" onto the chip board using a paint brush, heated with my embossing gun and applies "Metal leaf in Copper"
6) cut Purple Cardstock into 4" x 8" - in right hand corner, stamp "hand" using Palette "Violet Varnish". Ink all edge in "Violet Varnish"
7) Cut darker Purple cardstock into 8 1/2" x 9" - Score at 4 1/2" to make a card that is 8 1/2" x 4 1/2". Ink all edge in "Violet Varnish"
8) Adhere "Shoot for the Moon" over the "Hand", add "Merry Fairy". I used a pop-dot to adhere foil Hand. Adhere Heart in the hand. You card is complete.

Hope you enjoy this one. :-)

New Beginnings ATC

It's this a cool look ATC - It was really easy to do also.
Directions:
Start off with a ATC from Stampbord (love this stuff)
Stamp using Stewart Superior's Palette "Starry Night" ink and Stampscapes "Star Birth" stamp.
using a Q-Tip I add more color - in the center by the star I used Palette "Ballet Blue" and some "Prussian Blue" and "Iris"
After get my color on I using StampBord scratch tools to add the detail (in white) you see.
the Two large stars have a star shaped gem in the middle.
Using the old embossing guns I punched out the words "New Beginnings" and adhere on.

HINT: If you don't own one of those old embossing guns - go get yourself on at the dollar store and lots of different color tape - you can have lots of fun with this.

I am working on a new project = But just can't get the photo I want. I have been dry embossing on Chip board and covering the chip board with metal leaf. It's really cool. I am still trying to get a great photo to show you this.
