Thank you to Dreamwesver Stencils

As most of you know I have been the guest designer for Dreamweaver Stencil this whole month,  Today is my last post.  So far all of my post has been Canvas and I want to make something different, so today I make a Thank You card for Dreamweaver to say "Thanks for having me"

start off with a black paper.  Sorry about the glossyness,
Added Golden Polmer Medium to my black cardstock and sprinkled the Metallic F/X onto the wet Plymer Medium (Gloss)  the reason it's glossy at this point.  Let that dry.  To make sure the Metallic F/X was not going to come off, I spray with a Workable Fixatif from Krylon

I had a Thank You stencil from Dreamweaver and embossing paste, but I need color, add a few drop of Florescent Orange to the embossing paste and mixed well.  Then I added my Thank You to my background. let dry

since my background is glossy and will not tke a photo well I add Gel Medium Matte on top of the whole background and let that dry.  While my Gel Medium was still wet I added my Die Cut leaves to the bottom

here is a close up of the background technique I used.  love this affect.  Here is the rest of the Dreamweaver Design Team.  Go by each of their blog and see what they did.

Greek goddess

I just love to making Mixed Media art project and the products I received for being a guest designer from Dreamweavers Stencils make it so much fun..  Stop by the Dreamweaver blog today and see all the great project done by their design team:
.  I made this wonderful canvas

Now here is how I make this amazing canvas

started by painting my background using Golden's new High Flow Paints.  Then I trace out my face image and painted the face with Golden Titan buff.
add my details, eyes shadows etc...

got my new Die cuts out and started to cut you two different shade using both leaf dies
Monstera Leaf
Leafy Branch
Had to add a little something to them.  ink all edges with Olive color Chalk Ink
Add each of the leaf with Golden Gel Medium
Now I start adding a few flowers using the Plumeria Crest Stencil and Embossing paste

Added some Sizing liquid to each flower so I can add the Dreamweaver metallic FX to each of the flower to make them pop...
Added a Dew Drop from Robin Nest to each flower center .

Now stop by each of these blogs and see what the rest of the Dreamweaver DT made

It's a Zen monument

I am have so much fun playing with Dreamweaver Stencils products this month.  I just love to make canvas and this is another one I did using the Zen Flower Stencil.

I used cheese cloth across the bottom to add texture to my canvas, then paint over the cheese clothe with two different colors of green.
I used Music sheet to create my stem and leaves for my two flowers

Make sure you use a transparent green paint if you want you viewer to see the music in the background.
I just love the Butterfly stencil I got from Dreamweaver,

Here you can see a close up of the Zen Flower and Embossing paste I used on my canvas.  After the Embossing Power dried, I paint with yellow acrylic paint and sprinkled some of the Metallic FX and let dry
See the texture I got from the cheese cloth and how wonderful the music sheet is as the stems.
Love how my butterfly looks on my canvas

Thank for stopping by today, please check out the Dreamweaver Blog and see what the other designer's made today on their blogs.

Fairy house

I have a old metal bed that was in my home when we purchase in 2003, I always want to do something cool with it.  So I decided to make a fairy village.  Start by putting some burlap on the bed and added soil....  add a few flowers and a glass mushroom or two.  BUT i need a house for the fairy to stay, my bff does thing with gourds and I seen this one in her collection and knew it's was my fairy house.

Started by paint my gourd with a Teal color.  Then I got out my Creative Paperclay and started adding windows and doors.  I want more,so i add small piece of Creative Paperclay on the side to made to the look of rocks.

Now it's time to have fun....  got out my paints and started to paint, added pink to the window and door knob, yellow inside the windows, painted the rocks to look as real as possible.  When I was done, I use a outside clear finishing spray.  But when i was done, i need a walk way, so I got my Creative Paperclay out again and made a few stepping stones.

Dream weaver Stencils guest Designer

I am so honored to be asked to be a guest designer for Dreamweaver Stenicles for the month of July,  I will be posting a new project every Thursday in July using a Dreamweaver Product.  Make sure you stop by on Thursday and check them out

My first project is a large 12 x 24 canvas, I had so much fun with this one.  Lots of layers and dimension, with Embossing Paste and Stencils

 Dream of Flowers

Started with a 12 x 24 canvas and added some sheet music to the background

Add some color, I used Golden Hansa Yellow Opaque and Pyrrole Orange, blended them with a baby wipe

Stencils:  LX 7024 Zen Flowers
              LM 193 Dragonfly
              LM 257 Heliconia Butterfly

Now add your Dreamweaver Embossing Paste to the Zen Flower, Dragonfly and Butterfly onto canvas as need.  I did three Zen Flowers and two Dragonflies and One Butterfly

Let Dreamweaver Embossing Paste dry over night.  I used Golden Quinacridone Magenta on the Zen Flowers and water it down at the end allowing the paint to drip.

I used Duo from UsArtQuest as a sizing for the Dreamweaver Metallic F/X Mica power to my dragonflies and the butterfly, give them lots of sparkle

I just love the way my canvas turned out, just amazing all the dimension I got using Dreamweavers embossing paste and stencils.
