Greek goddess

I just love to making Mixed Media art project and the products I received for being a guest designer from Dreamweavers Stencils make it so much fun..  Stop by the Dreamweaver blog today and see all the great project done by their design team:
.  I made this wonderful canvas

Now here is how I make this amazing canvas

started by painting my background using Golden's new High Flow Paints.  Then I trace out my face image and painted the face with Golden Titan buff.
add my details, eyes shadows etc...

got my new Die cuts out and started to cut you two different shade using both leaf dies
Monstera Leaf
Leafy Branch
Had to add a little something to them.  ink all edges with Olive color Chalk Ink
Add each of the leaf with Golden Gel Medium
Now I start adding a few flowers using the Plumeria Crest Stencil and Embossing paste

Added some Sizing liquid to each flower so I can add the Dreamweaver metallic FX to each of the flower to make them pop...
Added a Dew Drop from Robin Nest to each flower center .

Now stop by each of these blogs and see what the rest of the Dreamweaver DT made

Thanks for stopping by today...

Dream weaver Stencils guest Designer

I am so honored to be asked to be a guest designer for Dreamweaver Stenicles for the month of July,  I will be posting a new project every Thursday in July using a Dreamweaver Product.  Make sure you stop by on Thursday and check them out

My first project is a large 12 x 24 canvas, I had so much fun with this one.  Lots of layers and dimension, with Embossing Paste and Stencils

 Dream of Flowers

Started with a 12 x 24 canvas and added some sheet music to the background

Add some color, I used Golden Hansa Yellow Opaque and Pyrrole Orange, blended them with a baby wipe

Stencils:  LX 7024 Zen Flowers
              LM 193 Dragonfly
              LM 257 Heliconia Butterfly

Now add your Dreamweaver Embossing Paste to the Zen Flower, Dragonfly and Butterfly onto canvas as need.  I did three Zen Flowers and two Dragonflies and One Butterfly

Let Dreamweaver Embossing Paste dry over night.  I used Golden Quinacridone Magenta on the Zen Flowers and water it down at the end allowing the paint to drip.

I used Duo from UsArtQuest as a sizing for the Dreamweaver Metallic F/X Mica power to my dragonflies and the butterfly, give them lots of sparkle

I just love the way my canvas turned out, just amazing all the dimension I got using Dreamweavers embossing paste and stencils.

Playing with my Zing Cutting Machine

I love all the wonderful thing you can do with your Zing cutting machine.  Let me tell you about what I did with it.  I personally can't draw very well and need to make a canvas for a baby shower..  So, I took a photo of the mommy to be.......
After take a photo of the mommy to be, I put it into PhotoShop and trace the outside of the image and save that.  Place that into my Make the Cut folder..  Place a Clear Transparency on my matte and cut myself out a stencil of the mommy to be.

Canvas:
used PanPastels in the background (pastel pink and purple).  Place butterfly stencils from SinCity stamps on my Pan Pastel background and spray over them with Pink and Purple Dye spray.  (had to make my own, all my color where too rich (I want something soft).
Place Stencil I made with my Zing cutting Machine on my canvas and used Pink paint to color the image in.  Add a heart from music paper that has (my life) words in the heart.  Trace the image to bring her out more and I was done.

Love the way this turn out and the great technique using my Zing Cutting Machine.

Splash Inks
Traditional Chines Ink - Ultra Black
Golden Titan Buff

Directions:

1)   Paint Canvas with Blue Splash Ink - I watered down a drop of Blue Splash inks and wash it over my canvas.
2)  I hand drew three birch trees, fill them with Titan Buff paint, when that was dry I out line with a very small paint brush and Traditional Chinese Ink.  Also adding the line for the trees bark.
3)  using the Blue Splash Ink I darkend around the edges to add some demention.
4)  I wrote out the quote with the Traditional Chinese Ink and a small paint brush.

I made this Canvas for a friend house, she has a Cabin on Palomar Mountain on Birch Hill Road, and she has been asking me to paint her a canvas for her bathroom in the city.  I know she love her little mountain cabin on Birch Hill, so this is what I made for her.
