It's a blog hop...  and we have blog candy just for you.  Hope you started at Sakura Blog if NOT here is the link CLICK HERE
Remember to vote for your favorite project.  Hope it mine..

I started my project with a old doll i got at a thrift store of $1 - it was not pretty.  LOL.  but it did have porcelain hands, feet and face.   So I knew I could work with it.

cover the doll with Foil and then Creative Paperclay®
let dry.....
Add a layer of paint.  let dry....
Now the fun starts.  I added first layer of  Terri Sproul Mixers "Interference Green"  then a layer of "interference Blue" and then a final layer of "Shimmer Purple" .  Set that aside to dry.

Then I add a layer of Due Embellish Adhersive from UsARtQuest and let that set up and add Gold Leaf from Stewart Superior.  only in little sections.  Love the way this looks.
Once that all dried I add a layer of Sakura Crystal lacquer and Terri Sproul "Ultra Fine Glitter".

I really love the way she came out.  Hope you pick mine to win!  Thanks remember to go back to the Sakura blog and vote so you are enter to win!

Sakura Hobby Craft Blog Hop

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and see what I made with the Terri Sproul Mixers..  Can you imagine how excited I was to introduce these at CHA 2012 Winter Show...  Today as you know I have give each of the Design Team member of Sakura Hobby Crafts some of these Mixers and told them to have fun..  I got a few sneak peaks at some of the project and they are having fun...

Here is my project and as most of you know I am totally into streampunk.  So I made a Steampunk Doll...

Sorry about this photo, but I lost my camera and don't have a better way of taking a photo....

Supplies
Dress form doll from Michael
Transparence
Artistic Wire - copper
Terri Sproul Mixers: Jewel Effects:  "Copper Penny" . "Interference Green," "Bronze"
Terri Sproul Mixers:  Glitz Effect:  "Rubin Red"
Clear 3-D Crystal Lacquer
Tim Holtz - pocket watch
Gears

I pained the doll with Copper Penny first, let it dry and i painted over the whole thing again with the Interference Green (love that look).  set aside to dry...

after she was dry I measure the back of the pocket watch and drew a circle in the doll and cut that circle out.

Filled the pocket watch with gears and then add Crystal Lacquer to fill the pocket watch and act as my adhesive for the gears.

Now to make my wings.  I show how to make wings on a Live Stream the other night.  So here is the link so you can watch to give you an idea on how to make wings... http://www.linqto.com/PlaybackRoom.aspx?roomname=papermood&name=SingleExplicit_2012_02_22_20_00_26_239

Then I just adhered everything together.

Thanks for stopping by - remember to leave me some love so you can win some blog candy...

Christmas Cards

I will be continue to make a few Christmas Cards the rest of this year.  I just love how this one turn out.  The Christmas Ball has two layers of Crystal Lacquer on it so it look like glass.  LOVE THAT...
anyways, all stamps are from Viva Las Vegastamps!

Supplies:
All stamps are Viva Las Vegastamps!
3-D Crystal Lacquer
Ink from Stewart Superior
white Cardbase
white Cardstock
Miracle Tape

Directions:
1)  Stamp Christmas Ball onto white cardstock with black or colored ink - up to you.  I stamped in black ink and them took my Chalk ink pad and added ink to my Ball.  I used a gold marker on the top of the glass.  I then covered the whole image with 3-D Crystal lacquer.  set aside to dry..
2)  Stamp "elf" onto white cardstock and color in image and cut out.  set aside.
3)  On the white cardbase, I stamp twice "pine Leaves" using Pine Tree Green dye ink.
4)  Stamped "merry Christmas" with Ruby Dye ink in bottom corner.
5)  using the same Chalk ink I used to color the Christmas Ball - I ink all the edges of the card.
6)  Once my Cystal lacquer was dry - I adhere the elf on the Christmas Ball with more 3-D Crystal lacquer and then cover the whole Christmas Ball again - set aside to dry.
7)  Once the Crystal lacquer was completely dry I added a small piece of wire to top of the Christmas Ball and adhere to the cardbase using my Miracle Tape.

Gloriann Irizarry
My name is Gloriann Irizarry and I was born in and raised in beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. La Isla Del Encanto. (Spanish is my native language so please bear with me) I moved to Utica NY in 1998 and now live in the beautiful Mohawk Valley here in central NY with my spouse and three young daughters. I have always loved art: it's been a great way to be creative and to express myself. Now I am creating a fairy wings line for all your projects needs from sculptured and other mediums. My wings are other items for sales are shown on and can be purchased from ebay store and Etsy shop (listed under littlegardencrafts). commissions are a accepts for custom made orders.

Gini Cagle

Align LeftI have always loved everything vintage - and that has really influenced my work. Even as a little girl, I collected beaded purses and antique clothes, and had boxes of old photos and ephemera. And yeah, this was all by the time I was 9 years old. So I guess i was that quirky kid that everyone just kind of thought marched to her own drums. That early sense of style lead to someone who has a passion to create, who is confident in her own designs, bu who also appreciated the historic influences of the past. I have been crafting all of my life, in one form or another. I was a very successful bead artist. I had my work published in over a dozen books an magazines, and lectured and taught all over the country, but... my beaded pieces too 500 - 100 hours to complete. About 10 years ago, I started scrapbooking, when my first nephew was born. I instantly fell in love with the immediacy of the medium (compared to the crazy hours I spent beading) In the past several years, I have really gotten serious with the craft and love finding new ways to take my pieces to the next level. It's really funny to look at any of my work, from bead work to paper and to be able to see the same style emerge, regardless of the medium.

Jessica Griffin

By day, I'm a wife and mom. I married my high school sweet heart in 2006 and together we have three beautiful, active, curious little people! By night I'm a paper crafter. I love scrapbooking, stamping, card marking, and altered art (I have commitment issues... can't commit to just ONE type of art!). I teach a variety of classes in the Dallas Fort Worth area. I love educating, encouraging, and giving people confidence to create! I design for several companies such as Jessica Sprague, EarthArt International, and Lindy's Stamp Gang. I have been published in magazines, digital magazines, and in a stamp catalog. I blog actively at

www.canyoupixelthis.com and share tutorials, videos, and pictorials. I'm excited to be designing for Sakura! Now I have an excuse for owning so much Crystal Lacquer!! I won't have to sneak it into the house anymore!! haha. ;);) Becky Conley
Becky is a free-lance designer, artist and instructor for the mixed-media and paper crafting industries. Mixed media art is her passion, but her creativity encompasses upcycled art, home decor and photography as well. Becky is a Designer Member of the Craft and Hobby Association and an active volunteer in her community; paying it forward in an effort to bring joy and hope to others. Karen Myers

I've been a crafty gal for as long as I can remember. I'm a wife, mom and grandma who loves to scrapbook, create, design, sew, collect, organize, and read. I enjoy watching movies, antique shopping, gardening, home decorating, baking and most of all hanging out with my family & friends and my extraordinarily talented husband, Robert and our little dog, Phoebe.

I love to collect all sorts of vintage ephemera, buttons and fabric bits to use on my creative projects. My favorite style is vintage – grunge and I like my projects to have different textures and layers. Moving off the scrapbook page onto different kinds of mixed media projects is my latest love. My new creative inspiration is nature since recently moving to the picturesque mountains of San Bernardino, CA.

Aileen Roberts is a mixed media artist & repossession specialist; recycling, altering & creating with found objects and various mediums. She finds joy in taking the ordinary and turning it into something unique and extraordinary. Her art runs the spectrum from drawing, painting, and assemblage art to jewelry and paper arts. Aileen has been published in several well known magazines and books, and also enjoys teaching workshops. She has both an online business she runs http://www.outsidethemargins.com/ and writes a blog: http://aileensmusings.blogspot.com/ . Aileen firmly believes that everyone has the ability to be artistic, but that sometimes people need help opening their creative door.
