Festive Friday Blog Hop #2

it's our Second Festive Friday Blog Hop! I am so excited...

This should be your first stop on the Hop... We are so excited to have you with us...
This card is used two of my favorite Stamp companies, I have add the Link to most of my products, so please stop by there website and purchase their stamps... After you finish the Hop first! :-)

Supplies:
White Card stock Silverblue Shinny card stock and Dark Blue Card stock for Card-base
Twinkling H2o's: color of choose...
Red Acrylic Paint:
Stamps: Moon Santa from Scrolls Work and "Shoot for the Moon" by Stampotique
Sparkly Fluff in Very Cherry Red from Our craft Lounge
Embossing Ink and Powder - I used Silver embossing Powder from Stewart Superior
Heat Gun
Red and Gold Crystal Lacquer from Sakura Hobby Crafts

Direction:
1) Stamp Moon Santa onto White Card stock with embossing Ink and emboss with Silver embossing powder.. if you don't know how to emboss - check out my video on my website called "diva"
2) Paint Santa hat with Red acrylic Paint and while paint is still wet, add Sparkly Fluff and let dry. after paint is day - tap off extra Sparkly Fluff...
3) I colored my Moon Santa image with Twinkling H2o's, and used the Red Crystal Lacquer to make my holly berries, and Gold Crystal Lacquer for the Star at the end of his hat... Lots of dimension from Crystal Lacquer
4) Stamp "Shoot for the Moon" quote onto White card stock and cut out.. I don't give sizes for two reason. One I don't measure anything, and the size of your card base might different from mine.. Matt this quote onto Shiny Silver/Blue Card stock
5) Now just put the card together. I did not matt the SantaMoon, - I just adhere to my card base. I did use a pop dot for my Quote - add dimension...

You next stop is to Chris Hurley Blog and see what she created for you...

Thanks for stopping by... I'm at CHA right now and will have lots of exciting stuff to talk about really soon.

Super Bowl Pennant

Super bowl Pennant

By Terri Sproul

Supplies:

Glue Dots®: Continuous Lines, Micro, and Mini

Cardstock – two color – use team colors – my sample is Black and Gold

Die Cut Letter: I used Punches from EK Success.

Sticks – I used Wood Skew – the one you would get for food.

1) Started with Team color Cardstock – Me that Black and gold. Steeler fan!

2) Cut a 12” x 12” Gold cardstock into 6” x 12” then into 4” x 6”. You should end up with 6 Pennant. Then cut each of the 4” x 6” square into Triangles..

3) I cut out different words for each of my Pennants: Including: “go Team”, D-fence”, Touchdown!, I did all of my letter in black Cardstock. I have letter punches that I used, but you can cut letter from what ever die cut machine you might have.. I adhere by letter with the new Micro Glue Dots®

4) Add ribbon to the edge of the Pennant with my Continuous Line Glue Dots®

5) On back side of Pennant (the 4” side), I added Continuous Line Glue Dots® again and adhere my stick.

This is a super easy project for your superbowl party this year. These can go into a large flower arrangement or just sitting on the table... Have fun..

I did this project while be apart of the Glue Dots Design team....

Alice in Wonderland Scroll

This has to be one of my Favorite project I think I have ever done... I have been thinking about this project for months... It's been floating around in my head for a while, I been getting the piece together to make it...
I adore "Alice In Wonderland" the whole story... But I was inspired to do this project with the Johnny Depp "Alice in Wonderland" movie... Remember the scroll in that movie.

Supplies:
Studio Cloth from UsARtQuest
PVC pipe - two of them... I used the 1/2 inch thick one.. It's what I had in the house
4 Finials.
Stamps: I used lots of different stamps on this project, Most from Oxford Impressions,
other where STampotiques and misc letter stamps...
Ink: Memories Mists: "Pale Ale"
Ink: Palette Hybrid inkpad in "Cognac" and "Raw Sienna"

Misc. Acrylic Paint: I used soft pastel color to my wood. I also aged the color even more with Golden's Glaze "Burnt Sienna"
Raffia
Closure, this one I have had for a really long time. I believe it's from Making Memories..
Misc. Charms for the ends of your Raffia...
Fabic-Castell Art Grip colored Pencils...

Direction:

1) Cut your studio cloth to the side of the scroll you want to make. Then spray your Studio cloth with Memories Mists: Pale Ale. Set aside to dry or heat set...
2) Check the side of your PVC pipe to see how much of the Studio cloth will take to cover it. I make both end of my studio cloth with a small mark - this way I know to keep my stamping inside these marks... it's was about 2 1/2" 'sh...

3) I stamp with two colors of ink. My Main IMAGES (Alice in wonderland images) I stamp with the Darker ink " Cognac" and my background image where stamp with a lighter ink, "raw sienna".

4) I color in my Main image only with Fabic-Castell Art Grip Pencils... I want a soft look!

5) I painted my Finials with soft pastel colors and then aged them with Glaze from Golden...

6) After I was happy with my stamping and coloring. I used my Glue GUN to attach my Studio Cloth to my PVC pipes... take your time on this and make sure you get it on straight. It's doesn't come off....

7) After I did this.... I notice I had to make something to keep it closed???? so off to check my stash of stuff... found these Magnetic closure, I believe they are from Making Memories. Add some raffia to that closure and some charms to the end of the raffia. That was the finishing touch it need... OMG, I love it... you can see the closure in the top photo....

Festive Friday Blog Hop #1

It's our First Festive Friday Blog Hop - we are excited....

It's Festive Friday Time... We are all so excited you have join us... This should be your first stop on this hop with more to hop to... Feel the excitement...

This card was inspired by where I live, I live on top of Palomar Mountain, deep in the woods in a small cabin. Not next to water, but!
I own a lot of Stampscapes Stamp - most likely because I really love the woods... So their stamp get my attention when i am wondering through the stamp stores...

This is a easy and simple set of cards, all stamps are from Stampscapes - EXCEPT the Merry Christmas which is Tim Holtz which I just stamped directly on to my white card base (per made from Michaels). I embossed the quote with Silver embossing Powder.

As for the Stampscrapes Image I stamp with Black India Ink from Stewart Superior and color the image in with Faber-Castell Art Grip Pencils.

I made a set of 4 of these for Christmas next year. I have shown you two of the four in this post.

Well I hope you enjoy your time here on my blog, I hope you continue to follow my blog for more excitement.
Now Hop on over to Chris Hurley Blog and see what she has made for us. That where I'm heading..

Punches: Small flower, small heart and small oval punch – all used on the clothing.

Directions

1) Stamp Spirit Doll image onto White Chipboard using India Ink in black. Cut out image and use small brad to adhere arms and legs.

2) Spray EcoArt Board with Memories Mists in blue and yellow on top to made sky and green at bottom for look of grass. Stamp Grass stamp over Green Memories Mists section using “Pine Tree Green” Dye Ink to add more details.

3) At this point I just start to have fun. I used a Tree Die from Sizzix to make a tree to my background, also was thinking about a white picket fence. I have a die for that too…

4) As for outfits for my doll. I used misc. scrap paper and free handed my top and dress bottom. I used both a small oval and a small heart punch to make the shirts neck lines.

5) After I made a few different pieces for my paper doll. I added Glue Dots® Removable Dots behind all the different accents I had made. Now, I can just play. Dress her in many different outfits. The removable Glue Dots® are perfect for this idea. Take this board on your next road trip….

I made this project while be apart of the Glue Dots Design Team...

This was a fun project to make. I think your daughter will have fun with this and maybe you will get to your destination without hearing "Are we there yet?"
